Fulfillment Accordion Menu

The Fulfillment accordion menu consists of menus that are related to managing Shipping Orders as they progress through Order Management. When Items are allocated, a Shipping Order must be picked from inventory, packed for shipping, and handed off to the shipper. Some of this functionality can be automated or managed through an external warehouse management system (WMS), depending on your particular business needs. See Order Preferences for enabling and disabling automated Shipping functionality. At this point, one or more Shipping Orders are created from the Sales Order, and Items are allocated to them from inventory or via purchase order, as appropriate.

A single Sales Order might generate multiple Shipping Orders when its Items have different shipping addresses or dates (such as, when some Items are backordered and others are ready for immediate shipment). Additionally, you can configure Order Management to automatically combine multiple Sales Orders into a single Shipping Order when appropriate (such as when a customer places multiple orders with the same shipping address and Items are available to be shipped at the same time from the same Site).

The following diagram illustrates the menus that can be used when managing Shipping Orders.
