To enable the Item Defaults, follow these steps:

  1. In the Settings accordion menu, select Preferences.
  2. Click the Inventory tab.
  3. Click Defaults. The New Item Defaults page appears.

  5. Click Update to save the settings.

The following table describes the parameter fields and buttons on the New Item Defaults page.

  • Random: A randomly generated unique code is assigned to each new item.
  • None: Order Management won't automatically assign codes to new items.
