Managing Shipping Orders in the Shipping Order Queue

Use the Shipping Order Queue to manage shipping orders from assignment of the shipping order to a warehouse associate until the shipping order is marked as fulfilled.

In Order Management Fulfillment Center: open the Shipping Order Queue. You can view, manage, and print shipping orders in any of these workflow states.

The following diagram summarizes the workflows available in the Shipping Order queue:

The following fields appear in the list of shipping orders on each of the three tabs on this page:

Field Description
! An exclamation point () appears here for a shipping order that is alerted.
ID The shipping order number. Click this number to open the Shipping Order details page for that shipping order.
T Shipping order Type.
C Catalog.
S Site.
Date Creation date.
Label Shipping order label.
Currency The currency type of the associated sales order.
SubTotal The subtotal value of the Items in the shipping order.
Total The total price of the Items in the shipping order, including tax, shipping, and handling.
Status The status of the shipping order.

Scenarios

The following are some typical scenarios encountered by a Shipping Order queue user:

Scenario: assign shipping orders by shipping method
Shipping orders that use a particular shipping carrier are to be assigned to a warehouse resource dedicated to working with that shipping carrier.
Action
The warehouse supervisor finds and assigns the shipping orders by following these steps:
  1. In Fulfillment Center, select Shipping Order Queue.
  2. Click the Waiting Assignment tab.
  3. In the shipping order search form at the top of the page, select the shipping carrier from the Method list.
  4. Click Refresh.
  5. Click the checkbox at the top of the search results to select the entire result set.
  6. Select the warehouse resource from the Assign To list.
  7. Click Assign.
Scenario: prepare to pick a batch of shipping orders
A warehouse resource is ready to pick items for the shipping orders in a batch that is assigned to them.
Action
The warehouse resource finds the shipping orders and prints pick sheets and pick labels as follows:
  1. In Fulfillment Center, select Shipping Order Queue.
  2. Click the Waiting PickPack tab.
  3. In the shipping order search form at the top of the page, select the batch from the Batch list.
  4. Click Refresh.
  5. Click the checkbox at the top of the search results to select the entire result set.
  6. Select Print Pick Sheet from the Select list.
  7. Click Print.
  8. Select Print Pick Label from the Select list.
  9. Click Print.
  10. Collect the printed documentation and labels.
