Cancel Orders

You can cancel an order that is in New, Open, or Completed Status. You can't cancel a failed order. To cancel an order associated with active post-processing objects, such as shipping orders, returns, or appeasements, you must cancel them. If you use Commerce Cloud Order Management, then after an order is sent to Order Management, manage it there.

  1. Select site > Merchant Tools > Ordering > Orders..
  2. Locate the order you want to cancel.
  3. Select the order.
  4. On the General tab, change the Status to Canceled. Note that you can reopen a canceled order.
    If the On Order feature is enabled, canceling an order also voids its booked inventory transactions. However, the turnover can be updated incorrectly. It depends on factors such as how long after order creation the cancellation occurred and any intervening inventory imports.
