Best Practices for Deleting On-Demand Sandboxes

Delete an on-demand sandbox as soon you don't need it anymore, since a sandbox consumes credits until it is deleted.

When you create an on-demand sandbox using POST/sandboxes, you can configure an optional Time-to-Live (TTL) that specifies how many hours the sandbox exists. If you need a sandbox for a defined short-term use, specify a TTL that covers only the time required. If you need a sandbox for a project with an uncertain end schedule, don't configure the TTL or specify a very large TTL, such as 2100 hours, but then delete the sandbox as soon as the project is completed. The maximum value for TTL is 2160 hours. After the sandbox is created, you can change the TTL value using PATCH/sandboxes.
