Global Preferences

You can configure global preferences for the entire organization, and sometimes, override those preferences at the site level. Global preferences include setting the time zone, locale, and sequence numbers for a site.

Locales You can activate and deactivate the locales available in Salesforce B2C Commerce. You also must configure site locales.
Change History You can configure the change history settings for this instance. Change history settings are currently available on Staging and Production instances.
Security You can set password restrictions and login lockout policies for all Business Manager users.
Page Meta Tags

You can view, create, or delete instance page meta tag definitions.

Sequence Numbers You can configure the number sequences used by the organization, such as orders and customers. Site-specific sequences can override organization sequences.
Retention Settings

You can specify the number of days after which the following data is automatically removed:

  • Products lists created by anonymous customers (1–30 days)
  • Inventory records that don't reference products (1–365 days or never)
  • Product price records that don't reference products (1–365 days or never)
Instance Time Zone You can define instance time zone.

OAuth2 Providers

You can configure and manage OAuth2 providers.

Store Locator Data (in the Geolocation lookup section) You can validate specific locations by specifying country and postal codes to be compared against countries for which geolocations have been imported for the store locator.
Feature Switches You can selectively enable some features.

Product List

Assign Products to a Category in Grid View

You can define up to five more product attributes that appear in all product list views.

You can define up to two more product attributes that appear in the category grid view.

Custom Preferences

You can create custom preferences at the organizational level. For each new preference type, create an attribute definition. To be able to edit the attributes, they must be grouped in preference groups (add an attribute group to the Global Preferences system object).

Import and Export (see the Exporting orders that contain UTF-8 characters section) You can filter invalid XML characters during export.
Analytics You can exclude internal traffic from some Technical Reports via a global preference.
