Onboard Your Merchant Account

The Stripe onboarding process collects business information such as names, addresses, and bank accounts. The steps vary based on the merchant account country. You can modify or add information from the Stripe dashboard accessed either from Business Manager or directly from the Stripe site based on the merchant account's user permissions.

  1. If you associated a merchant account to the instance but haven't completed the onboarding, click Onboard with Stripe.
  2. To complete the onboarding, follow the instructions on the Stripe site.
    For support and documentation, see Stripe documentation. You're returned to the Account Association page in Commerce Cloud when the onboarding process is complete.
  3. To verify if Stripe requires further steps, click Go to Stripe Dashboard.
You can enable charges to test payments even if you haven’t completed onboarding your merchant account. You can use a Commerce Payments merchant account associated with the instance to create payments in test mode. See Stripe Testing for details on testing your integration before going live.
