Analytics Reporting Integration

Salesforce B2C Commerce provides robust storefront Analytics that can help make your storefront more successful.

To provide these Analytics, B2C Commerce uses web logs, an approach that is faster than pulling data from the database. The web logs record storefront web events―for example, orders entered by consumers. However, the logs do not record events outside of B2C Commerce, such as order cancellations, order modifications, or returns performed off-line by the merchant. B2C Commerce can report on 15 different Analytics events. Each event corresponds to a URL pattern, and each URL pattern requires different URL parameters. When a storefront URL request that matches one of these patterns reaches the server, the server records the event in a web log. Each reference application―SFRA (Storefront Reference Architecture) and SiteGenesis JavaScript Controllers (SGJC)―implements Analytics reporting using different techniques.
