You can import a price book as either an editable or a read-only price book. A
read-only price book takes less time to import but you can't edit it in Business Manager. The
default is editable.
-
Importing a read-only price book requires enabling the global preference. You can
change the preference later to import an editable price book. To use read-only price
books, contact your Salesforce admin to enable the High Scale Price Books
feature.
-
Select Administration > Global Preferences > Import &
Export.
-
Select Import All Price Books as Read-Only.
-

If you're replacing an editable price book with an optimized price book, select
REPLACE. In general, when importing an optimized price book, we
recommend using REPLACE for the fastest import times and fewest import
failures.
