Analytic Reports: Customer

The Customer and Buyers report includes data on the number of new customers, number of first time buyers, and the total number of registered customers for a selected time period. From a business perspective, this report provides you with a good idea of how many visitors were converted to customers, and how many of the customers were converted to first time buyers.

Term Definition
Visitor A generic term for a visitor to the storefront, registered or unregistered.
Customers Visitors who have registered accounts in the storefront and who might or might not have purchased a product.
Buyer A customer who has an account in the store, and who has made at least one purchase.

This report quantifies how much customers purchase:

Summary by Date

The summary by date shows you the total number of new customers and new buyers for specific dates. For example, you might notice that the total number of new buyers was greatest on the 16th. This view shows:

Summary by Weekday

The summary by weekday shows you the total number of new customers and new buyers as they are distributed over specific days of the week. For example, you might notice that the total number of new buyers is greater on Sunday than on Monday. This view shows:

Summary by Hour of Day

The hourly overview shows you the total number of new customers and new buyers distributed over specific hours of the day. For example, you might notice that the total number of new buyers is greater between 8:00 and 9:00 PM (20:00 and 21:00) than 3:00 and 4:00 AM (3:00 and 4:00). This view shows:
