Create a fulfillment site

To create a new fulfillment site, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Enabled checkbox, if necessary, to enable and show fulfillment sites.
  2. Click New Site. Enter information into the fields. The Fulfillment Site detail page appears. See the table below for descriptions of all fields and buttons on this page.
  3. Click Update to save the site information, or click Cancel to discard the information entered.

The following table describes the fields and buttons on the Fulfillment Site Manager page.

Fields and Buttons Description
New Site button Creates a new fulfillment site. The fulfillment site fields described in this table appear, along with the site-specific hours.
Enabled checkbox If checked, the fulfillment site is enabled. When it is first enabled, existing item inventory levels must be reloaded and assigned to it as appropriate. See Creating Items by Importing Item Records.

Individual sites shouldn't be enabled until they are needed.

Code The name of the fulfillment site.
Default checkbox If checked, then this fulfillment site is used by default in certain rare cases where another site isn't selected.
Visible checkbox If checked, then this fulfillment site is available for inventory. If not checked, then this site is hidden from the UI.
Suppress Sale checkbox If checked, then inventory at this fulfillment site will not be considered when determining item availability and will not be included when inventory levels are exported. If site-level inventory data files are generated, no file is generated for this site.
Suppress Allocation checkbox If checked, then inventory at this fulfillment site will not be allocated to shipping orders.
Label (field and link) An identifier used to reference the fulfillment site in the various Order Management UIs.

When a site is created, click the Label link to edit its parameters.

Short Label An abbreviated identifier used to reference the site in the various Order Management UIs.
Name or Site Name The name of the site. For example, "Boston Store."
Type The type of fulfillment site, such as warehouse, virtual, store, or dropship.
Attention A name that is used when communicating with the fulfillment site.
Country drop-down A drop-down list of countries associated with the fulfillment site.
Note: Address format is based on country-specific rules for the included fields and their order of presentation. See Localization.
Address lines The two address lines associated with the fulfillment site.
City The city associated with the fulfillment site address.
State/Province The region or state associated with the fulfillment site address.
Zip The zip code associated with the fulfillment site address.
Note: Postal/zip code is based on the country/locale.
Time Zone drop-down A drop-down list of time zones. Note that Universal Time Code (UTC) is the standard. Order Management converts dates and times for display according to the selected user locale. See Global Time Zones and UTC.
Note: When configuring company- or site-level shipping hours based on a specific locale, the time zone is considered. See Company Shipping Hours and Fulfillment Site Manager.
Ship Attention The name that is used to identify the shipping fulfillment site.
Ship Country drop-down The country associated with the shipping fulfillment site.

Ship Address lines The two address lines associated with the shipping fulfillment site.
Ship City The city associated with the shipping fulfillment site address.
Contact A contact name.
Contact Email A contact email address.
Phone A contact phone number.
Private Email A contact email address that won't be exposed. This field is included for administrative purposes.
Public Email A contact email address that is exposed as the “From” address in correspondence.
Public Email Display Name A display name that is concatenated with the Public Email address to create the "From" address in email correspondence. For example, if the Public Email Display Name is Salesforce Support and the Public Email is [email protected], then the From field in email correspondence is "Salesforce Support" <[email protected]>.
Email Copies An email address that is blind-copied (bcc) on all email sent from within Order Management. Be careful when using this feature.
Update button Updates the system with the site information.
Cancel button Discards any changes.
