The Job Manager lets you set up and schedule new jobs, as
well as manage existing jobs. Jobs are used to automate functions such as
the following:
- Importing data (such as new product data)
- Exporting data (such as inventory data for store locations)
- Advancing workflow processes (such as allocating shipping
orders)
See Job Types for
information on the different types of jobs that are available, and Scheduling
Jobs for information on defining a job.
A job can be run on a
set schedule or can be run manually. When a job is run, it's inserted into
the Jobs queue. This queue is processed every 5 minutes, at which time
any jobs that have entered the queue since the last process are
executed.
To access the Job Manager, click Jobs in the
Utilities accordion menu in the left navigation panel.

doesn't affect its defined schedule -- it still launches at
its next regularly scheduled time. See Job - Immediate
Launcher for information on using this
panel. |
Job Summary
section |
Includes the New Job control and lists of all currently
configured jobs by status. See Job - Summary for
information on using this panel. |
