Create Storefront Sorting Options

Storefront sorting options are sorting rules in a dropdown list that customers can apply to search results. For example, if they want to reorder search results in terms of price, brand name, or release date.

  1. Select site > Merchant Tools > Search > Storefront Sorting Options.
  2. On the Storefront Sorting Options page, select the language for a site and click Apply.
    When you select a new language to configure, the values for the Display Name are cleared for that language.
  3. Click New.
  4. Select a language for the storefront option. If you don't have sites in different languages, select Default or the locale for the current site.
  5. Enter a unique ID for the Sorting option.
    This ID is only used internally and in Salesforce B2C Commerce to identify the sorting option. For example, you might want to distinguish between two rules with the same display name Hot sellers that are intended for different categories and so have different IDs, womensHotSellers, and mensHotSellers.
  6. Enter a Display Name for the sort option.
    This Display Name shows in the Storefront when the sort option dropdown list is selected.
  7. Select a sorting rule from the dropdown list.
  8. If you are creating the sorting option for an A/B test, select the AB Test Only checkbox.
    Note: Selecting this option limits display of the sorting option to A/B tests where the specified sorting rule (set in Step7) is applied. See Creating an A/B Test.
  9. To save your changes, click Apply at the bottom of the page. Clicking Apply for the Select Language option doesn't save changes.
