Image Manager

The Image Manager can be used to track and manage images in Order Management. The Images Manager dashboard contains an Image Summary section and Image Functions section, which manage images as follows:

Image Summary section consists of the image queues of linked and unlinked images and controls the library of item images. See Images Queue. From here you can view all linked and unlinked Images. When you click an image, the Edit Image Information page appears, where you can view or resample the dimensions of the images, and replace an image with a different image.
Image Functions section consists of the operations you can perform including:
- Use Linking Wizard to search for item and image codes that match a specified format and link them
- Resample item images
- Delete unlabeled and unlinked images.

Images are either linked to an item or unlinked (no associated items). An image can be linked to multiple items concurrently.

Linked images can be linked to one or more items.
Unlinked images are images that were uploaded to Order Management but have not been linked to any items. They are not deleted from the system.

Note the following about item images:

Each item can have any number of images associated to it. Images are typically uploaded and automatically linked to items when an item is created. See Creating New Items.
When you upload an image to Order Management, such as for a product description, Order Management automatically generates three resized versions: Full, Medium, and Thumb. Order Management automatically resamples the images to reduce them to the specified pixel sizes. Note that Order Management won't enlarge images that are smaller than the defined constraints.

Note: Be sure that you have configured the size of each of the three image versions in Settings > Preferences > General > Imaging. See Imaging Preferences.

To access the Image Manager, select Image Manager from the Inventory accordion menu. The Image Manager dashboard page appears.

The following table describes the components of the Image Manager dashboard:

Fields and Buttons	Description
Search form fields and Search button	Searches for Linked, Unlinked, or All images using the search form at the top of the Image Manager page. Unlinked is the default. Click Search to view the specified images. When you click the image, the Edit Image Information page appears, where you can view or resample the dimensions of the images, and replace an image with a different image.
Image Summary section	Shows the image queues, which show the number of linked and unlinked images.
[view] link	Shows the full list of images. When you click an image, the Edit Image Information page appears, where you can view or resample the dimensions of the images, and replace an image with a different image.
Image Functions section	Shows the links and buttons for operations you can perform with the images. Operations to search for item and image codes that match a specified format and link them, to resample the item images, and to delete unlabeled and unlinked images.
Linking Wizard link	Searches for item and image codes that match a specified format and link them. The Image Linking Wizard page appears. The image type can be selected, as well as the scale of the image and how the dimensions of the new image should match the primary image. You can test or apply a match based on the Match Type (Multiple or Exact). When you click Test Match, any matches appear with the image code, image count, and matching items. Click Update to accept the match or click Cancel to discard it.
Resample Item Images button	Resamples (resizes) the item images.
Delete unlabeled & unlinked images button	Deletes any unlabeled or unlinked images.
