If a root folder has an asterisk, you have full permissions to all its subfolders, even if permission for a subfolder isn't granted. However, a subfolder with an asterisk grants you full permission to all its subfolders, unless permission for a subfolder isn't granted.
For example, the root
folder /impex/*
has an asterisk. You have access to
/impex/subfolder
, even if permission isn't granted.
For the subfolder
/impex/test/*
, even though there's an asterisk, if access to
/impex/test/subfolder
isn't granted, you don't have access.
